Andrew Patrick "Drew" Barham (born December 29, 1989 in Memphis , Tennessee ) is a retired American basketball player .

career

Barham from Cordova (US state Tennessee ) played basketball at Christian Brothers High School in Memphis , before he was part of the basketball team at the University of Memphis (first NCAA division) from 2009 . His operating time there remained short. In 49 games he was on the field for an average of six minutes and scored 1.9 points per encounter. Barham left Memphis in 2011 and went to Gonzaga University(also first NCAA division), but was not allowed to take part in competitions due to the transfer regulations in the 2011/12 season. Between 2012 and 2014 he then played 64 games for the "Bulldogs" and posted averages of 4.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. In the 2013/14 season in particular, he demonstrated his skills as a distance shooter when he hit 61 of 127 threesomes thrown, which corresponds to a very high success rate of 48.0 percent.

His first steps as a professional basketball player did Barham with the Japanese club Oita Heat Devils . In the 2015/16 season he scored an average of 14.1 points per encounter in 41 missions for the Czech first division club Usti nad Labem and once again excelled as a shooter with 86 three-point throws. In the 2016/17 season Barham was initially under contract with BC Targu-Mures in Romania and from January 2017 with Falco KC Szombathely in Hungary.

Barham returned to his homeland and was under contract with the Maine Red Claws in the NBA G-League . In the summer break of 2018 he was signed by the German second division club Hamburg Towers . He was champion of the 2nd Bundesliga ProA with Hamburg and was on the way to the title with 14.3 points per match the team's best scorer. His 85 three-point throws hit meant the second highest value in the Towers roster. He ended his career in July 2019.
