Driebruggen is a village and a former municipality that only existed for 25 years. The place is in the Dutch province of South Holland . On February 1, 1964, the community was re-formed by the merger of the four communities Hekendorp , Lange Ruige Weide , Papekop and Waarder . On January 1, 1989, it was dissolved and distributed to the municipalities of Reeuwijk , which has belonged to Bodegraven-Reeuwijk since 2011 , and Oudewater ( province of Utrecht ). At the time of the dissolution, Driebruggen had 4537 inhabitants on 29.29 km². 14.10 km² with 3254 inhabitants (including Waarder) moved to Reeuwijk, 15.19 km² with 1283 inhabitants (including Papekop and Hekendorp) moved to Oudewater.
