The Driftwood River (English for "driftwood river") is a left tributary of the Lesser Slave River in the Canadian province of Alberta .

River course

The Driftwood River rises 45 km north-northeast of Slave Lake at an altitude of about 890  m . It flows in a predominantly southerly direction through the boreal forest landscape of central Alberta.
