The Drohmo is a mountain in the Himalayas in northeastern Nepal .
The Drohmo is a multi-peaked glaciated mountain in the Janak Himal . The 6881 m (according to other sources 6886 m ) high main summit is 14.2 km north-northwest of the eight-thousander Kangchenjunga . A 5990 m high mountain pass separates the Drohmo from the main ridge of the Janak Himal, which runs along the Tibetan border. The Ginsang Glacier and the Kangchendzönga Glacier flow around the Drohmo in the east and south . In the northwest the Broken Glacier extends along the flank of the Drohmo.
In addition to the main summit, the Drohmo also has a central summit ( 6855 m ⊙ ) and an east summit ( 6695 m ⊙ ).
The sub-peak Drohmo II ( ⊙ ) rises even further to the east with a height of 6559 m .
Ascent history
The main summit of the Drohmo has not yet been climbed.
In contrast, the central summit was first climbed in 1998 by Doug Scott and Roger Mear via the south pillar. Another ascent of the central peak in 2002 by the Slovenes Aleš Koželj and Mitja Šorn took place on a different route on the south pillar.
