Drop Dead, Gorgeous is an American post-hardcore band from Denver, founded in 2005 .

Band history

When Drop Dead, Gorgeous was formed in 2005, none of the band members were 20 years old.

The name originated as a play on words from the American phrase "drop-dead gorgeous". It is used in English as an adjective for "stunningly beautiful". Adding the comma creates “drop dead, gorgeous”, which results in the prompt “drop dead, beauty”.

In May 2006 they released the album In Vogue on Rise Records . After their release in 2006, they toured the US almost continuously .

On October 20 of the same year it was announced that they would change the label - from now on they were under contract with the Geffen sub- label Suretone Records ; the producer for the next album would be Ross Robinson .

They also shot the video for the single Dressed for Friend Requests at a concert in their hometown, Denver .

According to the Myspace page, the band was in the studio in May 2007 to record their album Worse Than a Fairy Tale . The album was released in the US on August 14, 2007. They also played a tour with Scary Kids Scaring Kids and Everytime I Die.

On June 2, 2009, the new album The Hot n 'Heavy was released in America. In addition, Jonathan "Duck" Leary (keyboard) left the band. The new album was recorded without him.
