Drosendorfer unit
The Drosendorfer unit , also known as the Bunte series due to its diverse rock population , is a geological unit in the central Waldviertel in Lower Austria . It belongs to the Moldanubian zone of the Bohemian masses .
Occurrence
She performs with a western main branch, running from near Persenbeug on the Jauerling , Mühldorf , Lichtenau and Allentsteig until Dobersberg , to light and emerges with a more easterly deposits in the area of the eponymous Drosendorf under the overlapping Gföhler unit on.
composition
The rock stock is composed of close alternating layers ("colorful") of metamorphic paragneiss , orthogneiss (e.g. the Dobra gneiss ), marbles , graphite slates and various green rocks (e.g. amphibolites ), while the west adjoining Ostrong unit consists of " monotonous "paragneiss with subordinate orthogneiss consists.
