Die Druckguss is the first and so far only trade journal in German-speaking countries that deals with topics from the die casting industry. Since 2011 it has been published three times a year as a supplement in the specialist journal Giesserei-Praxis . The main editorial focus is on reports from operational practice, but also on practice-oriented research contributions. With this program, Druckguss is aimed primarily at executives in the die casting industry at home and abroad.

history

previous logo

Die Druckguss was first published in March 2002 to accompany the international trade fair for die casting technology ( EUROGUSS ). Under its founding title Druckguss-Praxis , the magazine established itself as a companion and commentator for the die-casting industry, which can be seen, among other things, from the increased number of issues: Initially, the magazine was published four times a year, but two years later this was increased to six issues a year and later even to eight issues a year, each with articles on a specific focus topic. Since 2011, Druckguss has been published three times a year as a supplement in the GIESSEREI-PRAXIS trade journal. Druckguss remains true to its intention to offer a forum for practically applied die casting technology by regularly publishing trade fair issues for the most important trade fairs in the industry.

Content

In general, articles are published in die casting that deal with the practice and science in the field of the die casting industry. Frequently recurring topics are new manufacturing processes , devices and materials that are used to optimize the workflow in operational practice, but also current research developments, the results of which are of particular interest to industry . Another focus is the reporting on special trade fairs , including Aluminum, the International German Die Casting Day and Euroguss. The innovations presented there are commented on and evaluated by Druckguss in special trade fair issues.

distribution

The die casting is primarily aimed at readers in management positions in the die casting industry. According to the company's own statements, it is mainly management staff who use the magazine to find out about new products and investment opportunities. Due to its thematic specialization and the associated uniqueness on the international market, Druckguss has also developed into one of the leading magazines in its field abroad: In addition to Germany , it is therefore also sold in Austria and Switzerland as well as in Eastern European countries . With a view to the European market, each article in the booklet is preceded by a summary in English .
