Doesn't always have water
The Dry Tarn is a small lake in the Lake District , Cumbria , England . The Dry Tarn is on the east flank of the Great Gable near the ascent from Sty Head Pass . The lake has no discernible inflow or outflow.
The Dry Tarn is shown on the Ordnance Survey maps as a lake and its name part Tarn identifies it as such, just like the first part of its name Dry indicates that it does not or not always have water.
