Post Office (Braunfels)
The former Braunfels post office in Braunfels , a town in the Lahn-Dill district in Hesse , was built in 1901/1902 on the property at Am Kurpark 11. The post office is a protected architectural monument .

The representative building was built by the princely administration according to plans by Carl Seiler . It was rented to the Prussian state .
An elaborate half-timbered upper floor stands above a massive ground floor. It is provided with gables , bay windows and dormers . The motifs from the Renaissance and Baroque were mixed with elements typical of the region. Above the portal of the entrance to the post office there is a decorative gable with the imperial eagle enthroned in the gable field . The coats of arms of the Princely House of Solms-Braunfels and the House of Zollern can be seen under the double windows of a richly decorated bay window .
