The Janapar Hiking Trail is a 284 km long long- distance hiking trail through mountains and villages of the de facto regime of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic . The paths of the trail have existed for centuries, but were largely marked for hikers only from 2007.

The route is divided into daily stages. It begins in Hadrut and ends in Wardenis , not far from Lake Sevan . The way to Kolatak is marked. For the further course to Vardenis, the official website offers GPS routes for download. Caution is advised in the section between Gandsassar Monastery and Waghuhas: Here, along the way, mines from the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are still found, which is why it is advisable to skip this section.
