Dušan Veškovac (born March 16, 1986 in Kruševac ) is a Serbian football player who has been under contract with FK Napredak Kruševac since 2017 .

Club career

Veškovac grew up in Kruševac and made his debut as a 17-year-old at FK Napredak in the Serbian-Montenegrin first division . In his first game, the defender went against Red Star Belgrade and its striker giant Nikola Žigić . After only nine games he moved to FK Obilić and went to the 2005/06 season within the league for FK Borac Čačak . After the first half of the 2006/07 season he went to Switzerland for the winter break, where his parents lived; here he had been under contract with the second division club FC Wohlen since January 2007 , where he was considered a "new discovery of the league".

In Wohlen, the coach of FC Luzern, Ciriaco Sforza , watched him for a year; in January 2008 Veškovac was finally loaned to Lucerne, where he made his Super League debut on February 3, 2008 in a 1-0 victory in Neuchâtel . In the second half of the 2007/08 season Veškovac established himself as a regular player in central defense alongside the former Bundesliga player Boubacar Diarra . Thanks to the two new defenders, FCL's defense in the second half of the season (together with Grasshopper Club Zurich ) was the best in the Super League and conceded only 15 goals in 18 games, compared to their 34 in the first half. At the end of the season, the FCL Veškovac committed; he received a four-year contract. Veškovac's strengths are primarily the duel and the header game.

On June 16, 2011 it was announced that Veškovac signed a three-year contract with YB with an option for one more season. In January 2014 he moved to Toulouse FC .
