Duško Savanović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Душко Савановић ; born September 5, 1983 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian basketball player. The 2.04 m tall power forward has been under contract with the Italian club Dinamo Basket Sassari since 2016 . He is also a member of the Serbian national team .

Savanović began his career at FMP Železnik Belgrade , in whose second team he was used for the first time in the 2004/05 season. He then moved to KK Borac Čačak , but returned during the season to Železnik, whose first team at that time was called Reflex Belgrade . With this club he won the Adriatic Basketball League in 2006 , where Savanović himself had scored the most points within the team and secured the most rebounds and had been voted the best newcomer to the league of the year.

In October 2006 he moved to UNICS Kazan in Russia . There Savanović reached the final series in the Superleague in 2007 and the final in the Russian Cup, but failed there in each case to CSKA Moscow . After two years at Cajasol Sevilla, he moved to Power Electronics Valencia in Spain in 2010 , where he played in the Euroleague for the first time . Savanović reached the quarterfinals with Valencia and was elected to the All-Euroleague Second Team of the 2010/11 season .

After having been active for the Turkish club Anadolu Efes SK for three years , he moved to Germany for FC Bayern Munich in July 2014 . There Savanović signed a two-year contract. After his contract with Munich had expired, Savanovic moved to the Italian Lega Basket Serie A to Dinamo Basket Sassari .

For the Serbian national team , Savanović was not considered for a long time. He was used for the first time in the qualification for the European Championship in 2009 , but it was not until the World Championship in 2010 , which Serbia finished in 4th place, that he took part in a major championship for the first time. Savanović was also nominated for the 2011 European Championship after he had become a top performer of the team.
