Duby (Ukrainian Дуби ; Russian Дубы , Slovak Dubov or older Duby , Hungarian Dubi ) is a place in Raion Irshava in the Zakarpattia Oblast in western Ukraine .
The place arose in the 17th century, was repopulated by German colonists from 1858 to 1861 and in 1870 had 85 residents in 13 houses. The first Germans were settled here from Hont County . German colonists later migrated from the Czech territories, but after the Second World War they were expelled or assimilated with the Russian population. Today the remote village has about 200 inhabitants on an area of 0.709 km².
Until 1919 the place belonged to the Empire Austria-Hungary or Hungary , afterwards as part of the Carpathian-Ukraine to Czechoslovakia . With the annexation he came back to Hungary in 1939–1945, from 1945 the place is part of the Soviet Union and since 1991 part of the Ukraine. In terms of administration, it forms a district council together with the neighboring village of Sahattja .
