Dumitru Nadu (born May 10, 1957 in Timișoara ) is a former Romanian football player .

Nadu played in his home country for FC Politehnica Timișoara . His greatest success was when he reached the finals in the Romanian national cup in 1980 . Final opponent Steaua Bucharest was defeated 2-1 in extra time. A year later, in 1981 , Timișoara managed to make it into the final again: This time Nadu and his teammates met FC Universitatea Craiova , the final was lost 6-0. In 1982 he moved to Germany for Karlsruher SC .

The midfielder made his Bundesliga debut on matchday three in 1982/83 , but was part of the KSC amateur team for the first two years of play. Under coach Horst Franz , he made his debut on September 1, 1982 in a 4-0 home defeat against Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga; he came on in the 65th minute for Wilfried Trenkel . Nadu won the championship in the Association League North Baden with the KSC amateurs under coach Lothar Strehlau and with teammates like Günter Walz in 1982/83 and thus made it to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . With the newcomer, he finished 13th in 1983/84; he came in this round to no further professional use at KSC. For the 1984/85 season, the KSC had returned to the Bundesliga, he got a professional contract. External newcomers were also Joachim Löw (SC Freiburg), Achim Glückler (VfB Stuttgart) and Borisa Mitrović (Red Star Belgrade). Coach Werner Olk brought him for the first time on September 7, 1984 in a 2-2 home draw against Eintracht Frankfurt. For the KSC, he completed 16 games and scored one goal.
