The DWK Life Sciences is an international manufacturer of laboratory and domestic glass. It is headquartered in the Baden-Württemberg city ​​of Wertheim . history

The Schott AG , headquartered in Mainz had in March 2005 as part of an equity carve-outs separated from the activities in the field of laboratory glass. These included reaction, cooking and test tubes made of Duran borosilicate glass and the Schott Duran brand . The investment company One Equity Partners , New York City, has been the new owner of the DURAN Group since 2015 .

Around 600 employees at four locations work for the DURAN Group in the value chain from the glass melting tank to high-precision molding and processing methods for hollow glass, including mouth blow molding, machine blowing, pressing and dyeing. The locations are spread across the European cities of Wertheim am Main, Mainz, Stone ( Staffordshire ) and Pula .
