The Duthiers Point is a headland at the Danco Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It marks the southern boundary of the entrance to Andvord Bay and the eastern boundary of the northern entrance to the Aguirre Passage .
It was discovered during the Belgica expedition (1897-1899) under the direction of the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery , who named it as Cap Lacaze-Duthiers . It is named after the French zoologist Félix Joseph Henri de Lacaze-Duthiers (1821–1901). The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee changed the name into English in 1959.
