Dylan Smith (* in Montreal ) is a Canadian film actor .

Life

Dylan Smith was born in Montreal and is the son of Oscar-nominated filmmaker John N. Smith and documentary filmmaker, Academy Award winner and Fellow of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, Cynthia Scott . The passionate ice hockey player received a college sports scholarship. After an injury, he studied theater at the University of Toronto. There he joined the Soulpepper Theater Company. He also studied acting at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London and was cast in the conversation piece Private Lives by Noël Coward on Broadway, where he met his future wife, the British theater director Anna Ledwich .

After engagements in supporting roles in films such as 300 or War of the Gods , five episodes in the television series Into the Badlands and a smaller role in The Mummy in 2017, Smith was in the role of Jasper in Maze Runner the following year to see and played in another leading role Daniel in the drama Lemonade by Ioana Uricaru . In 2019 he appeared in six episodes of I Am the Night in the role of Sepp and a supporting role in the film drama First Cow by Kelly Reichardt .
