The NHK Arena is an ice rink in the Swedish city of Timrå . The arena is the home ground of the ice hockey club Timrå IK from the second highest Swedish league, HockeyAllsvenskan . The name sponsor of the arena has been Norrlands Hall & Kapell since 2016 .
history
The NHK Arena is mainly used for ice hockey games. Timrå IK has played its home games indoors since it opened in 1965. In 1994 and 2003 the arena was modernized and expanded. The 2003 expansion cost around SEK 50 million and was planned by the architectural firm Ellextre Entreprenad AB.
