ESG (* in Bogalusa , Louisiana ; actually Cedric Hill ) is an American rapper from Houston ( Texas ). He is a member of the Screwed Up Click , an underground rap group.

Career

Cedric Hill, known as ESG (Everyday Street Gangsta), began rapping in the mid-1980s, helping to promote the “ chopped and screwed ” style, where songs are played more slowly. He released his first album Ocean of Funk in 1994 on the Perrion Entertainment label. The album included his first single, Swangin '& Bangin', and several screwed & chopped versions. Rappers like Lil 'Will, Big 50 and Yellow Stone Click played on the album. After his second album Sailin 'da South (1995) ESG gave up G-funk and continued rapping on different beats and with a faster voice. He released other albums including Digital Dope , which was released in February 2009 on the Gracie Productions label. His album Everyday Street Gangsta is due to be released in September 2009.
