Ernst Havlik
Ernst Havlik (born April 18, 1944 in Korneuburg , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian writer, medical physicist and comic book expert .
Life
After attending the Bundesrealgymnasium in Vienna , Havlik studied physics and mathematics at the University of Vienna , where he received his doctorate in 1970 at the Institute for Radium Research and Nuclear Physics. From 1971 to 1973 he worked in the optics industry, from 1973 he worked and researched in nuclear medicine at the Vienna General Hospital . From 1980 he trained to become a radiation protection expert and assessor for radiation protection. Since 1992 he has been a university lecturer for clinical physics at the Center for Biomedical Engineering and Physics at the Medical University of Vienna . Since 1971 Havlik has published over 50 scientific articles in the fields of nuclear medicine and radiation protection.
In addition to his professional interests, Havlik dealt with science fiction and comics . In 1973 he published the science fiction novel Long Life, Liebling , which appeared in two issues of the science fiction series of Zauberkreis Verlag . In 1984 his short story Meinhart Flecker's Last Hunt was awarded the Robert Sheckley Prize by Bastei Verlag . From 1978 to 1981 Havlik was co-editor of the comic magazine Stress . In 1981 his lexicon of onomatopoeia appeared on the sound-imitating words in comics, which were reprinted in 1991 at Two Thousand One .
