The EEG - Marchtrenk to Zizlau were four freight train - narrow-gauge locomotives with 1,106 mm gauge of the kk privileged First Railway Company (EEG), also known as the Budweis – Linz – Gmunden horse-drawn railway . They had become necessary as the horse-drawn railroad faced growing competition from locomotive-powered railways.
The vehicles were designed by Johann Zeh from 1855–1856 at the Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik . Zeh used a drawbar frame at both ends of these vehicles for the first time (but still without a reset device), which later became known as the Bissel frame . The machines were given the company numbers 11-14 and the names MARCHTRENK , NEUBAU , MAXLHAID and ZIZLAU .
They were retired in 1883 after the kkStB G had taken over the operation on the narrow-gauge line.
