European Trade Union Committee for Education and Science
The European Trade Union Committee for Education and Science , EGBW (European Trade Union Committee of Education ETUCE) is a European trade union federation based in Brussels . It represents 132 unions in the education sector in 51 countries with a total membership of around 11 million members. The ETUCE is the European regional structure of the Bildungsinternational . The trade union committee is a member of the European Trade Union Confederation .

The EGBW was founded in 1977.
The last regional congress took place on June 6-8. December 2016 in Belgrade . Christine Blower (NUT / UK union) was elected President of ETUCE, Andreas Keller from GEW is one of the vice-presidents .
European Director is Susan Flocken.
Member unions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
Affiliates are
- from Germany: the Education and Science Union (GEW), the Education and Training Association (VBE) and the Federal Association of Teachers at Vocational Schools (BLBS).
- from Austria: the public service union - ARGE Lehrer (GÖD) . With around 230,000 members, it is the second largest trade union of the seven trade unions of the ÖGB.
- from Switzerland: the Swiss Association of Public Service Personnel (VPOD), the Union of the Swiss Confederation of Trade Unions (SGB), the umbrella association for teachers in Switzerland and the Syndicat des enseignants romands.
