EHF Champions Trophy 2007
The EHF Champions Trophy , also known as the European Club Championship for handball clubs, was held in 2007 in Celje, Slovenia, in the Dvorana Zlatorog Arena, the 4594 home ground of RK Celje Pivovarna Lasko . The winner of the 2007 tournament, THW Kiel , received prize money of 70,000 euros.
The semi-finals were played on October 20, 2007. The losers of the semi-finals played the third-placed on Sunday, October 21, 2007, before the winners of the semi-finals competed in the evening for the prize money of 70,000 euros and the prestige of being able to call themselves European champions.
Attendees
Since three German teams have won the three major European Cups ( EHF Champions League , EHF Cup , EHF Cup Winners Cup ), it was clear from the start that at least one German team would be in the final and fighting for the title. The 2007 participants are:

Television broadcast
As in 2006, the private sports broadcaster Eurosport broadcast all games of the EHF Champions Trophy 2007 live. The first semifinals and the final were broadcast live on the main channel Eurosport, while the second semifinals and the match for third place were broadcast live on the pay channel Eurosport 2 .
