The EK-Pack Folien GmbH is a German packaging company based in Wiggensbach (district Ermengerst ) in the Allgäu .

The company was founded in 1977 by Fritz Englisch and has been family-owned ever since. In 1992 the subsidiary Vacopack H. Buchegger AG in Steinach , Switzerland was acquired . The company currently has 210 employees and another 50 in the subsidiary.

The product range includes flexible films for vacuum and atmosphere packaging, shrink films, composites and special composites, which are used in particular in the food, pharmaceutical and technical industries. The production takes place by primary forming by means of extrusion through slot dies or tubular film tools . In addition, depending on customer requirements, the products are refined by means of lamination and / or printing . The sales areas mainly extend to European countries. A small proportion of the products are sold outside Europe.

In cooperation with four other companies in the region, EK-Pack Folien is involved in the endowed professorship for packaging technology at Kempten University . In addition, the company is a founding member of the Center for Food and Packaging Technology eV
