Its main markets include the following sectors: metal , paper , plastics , as well as the film and tire industry. Its parent company is Elexis AG . The EMG Group employs around 1200 people worldwide and is headquartered in Wenden , Germany .
history
EMG Automation GmbH was founded on June 22, 1946 as a subsidiary of the National Automobile Company (NAG). The company produced brake release devices for use in industrial brakes . In 1977 the majority company EMH was founded in Brazil, which has since supplied the South American market with electromechanical and electrohydraulic components. In 1980, EMG acquired Bielefelder Servo Technik (BST) and has since expanded the global network of today's BST eltromat International GmbH. In 1995, BST acquired the majority stake in the US company Pro Mark Technologies and the EMG group has since been represented on all continents. In 2003 the headquarters of EMG's parent company, Elexis AG, was relocated to Wenden (Sauerland). In 2016, EMG could already look back on 70 successful years with constant new and further product developments as well as constant expansion of the international sales organization.
EMG Automation GmbH is currently managed by Siegfried Koepp (Chairman) and Marc Nedecky.

Products
The main areas of application for series products, individual components and for complex system solutions from the EMG Group are continuous production processes in the metal, paper and plastic industries as well as in the film and tire industry. In addition to quality assurance systems, EMG's delivery program also includes strip guiding systems and electro-hydraulic lifting devices and controls.
Awards / prizes
In 2007, EMG Automation GmbH received this for the fourth time from the sponsoring association Zenit e. V. awarded innovation prize. The 24 applicants were looking for medium-sized companies that offer innovative products and services, know how to market them internationally and nationally and are therefore very successful.
