The group of the southern EU states (also EuroMed 7 ) consists of seven Mediterranean countries of the European Union , as well as Portugal.

The heads of government and state of France , Greece , Italy , Malta , Portugal , Spain and Cyprus meet to look for a “new vision” for the continent. In addition, the EU-Turkey agreement is to be strengthened. The acronym EuroMed 7 is made up of the terms Europa and Mediterraneum and the number of member states.
