history

3KS key and cylinder

EVVA-WERK was founded in 1919 as a precision engineering business and soon specialized in high-quality locking cylinders . In 1937 the first patent for a cylinder padlock was obtained in Austria . 1973 took over Komm. Rat Dkfm. Nikolaus Bujas took over the company and founded the EVVA research and development department one year later. In 1976 the profile system GPI (basic profile integrated) was developed and one year later ELCA - Krefeld was founded. In the same year EVVA Development developed an IT system for calculating and seamlessly counterchecking locking systems . The development of the MCS (Magnet-Code-System) system followed in 1979.

In 1993, EVVA was the first company in the industry ISO 9001 - certification and 3KS developed (3 Curve System). In 1998 the development of the electronic access controls XS, SXS and ACM and the system MCS (Magnet-Code-System) as a modular system followed.

Development from 2000

In 2000 EVVA developed the reversible key system DUAL and improved the system DPI (double profile integrated) in modular design. In the following year EVVA was involved in the development of the SALTO (Smart Access Locking System) system and founded the subsidiary EVVA-Sicherheitssysteme as a system integrator. In 2002 the new electronic motor cylinder EMZY "MKT 35" followed. In 2004 the company had 8 branches and production sites in Europe with around 800 employees. One year later, EVVA developed the “i-Locker”, an electronic lock for example. B. for cloakroom and office cupboards, and in 2006 new mechanical (EPS, ICS, 3KSplus) and electronic locking systems . This was followed in 2007 by the development of a battery-operated electronic knob cylinder, the first model on the market with iButton technology; At the same time, the 3KSplus was launched. Other systems newly launched on the market in 2008 were the EPS (extended profile system) and one year later the locking systems ICS (internal coding system) and e-primo, an electronic cylinder for private individuals. In 2009 the company celebrated its 90th anniversary and founded EVVA Sicherheitsschlösser GmbH in Velbert, Germany.
