Earl Thomas Conley
Earl Thomas Conley (born October 17, 1941 in Portsmouth (Ohio) , † April 10, 2019 in Nashville ) was an American country singer .
Between 1980 and 2003 he recorded ten studio albums, seven of them on RCA Records . Between 1980 and 1992, more than 30 of his singles reached the Billboard Hot Country Songs , 18 of them number 1. In the course of the 1980s only two acts - the band Alabama and Ronnie Milsap - achieved more number 1 hits in the respective hit lists.
