Earl of Lisburne
Earl of Lisburne in the County of Antrim is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Ireland .
Award
The title was created on July 18, 1776 for the House of Commons Wilmot Vaughan, 4th Viscount Lisburne .
In 1766 he had inherited the titles Viscount Lisburne and Baron Fethard , of Feathered in the County of Tipperary , from his father, which had been bestowed on his grandfather John Vaughan on June 5, 1695 in the Peerage of Ireland .
The earl's eldest son always uses the invented courtesy title Viscount Vaughan as his heir apparent .
The Earls' ancestral home was the Trawsgoed Estate near Aberystwyth in Ceredigion (Cardiganshire), Wales .
