The Eaulne is a river in France that runs in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region . It rises in the municipality of Mortemer , drains generally in a north-westerly direction through the Pays de Bray landscape and joins the Béthune and Varenne rivers after 46 kilometers at Arques-la-Bataille . They form the Arques River , which in turn flows into the English Channel after around six kilometers .
