Eberhard Bernatzki
Eberhard Bernatzki (* July 12, 1936 ; † April 24, 2017 in Berlin ) was a German sports official and holder of the Federal Cross of Merit .
Life
Eberhard Bernatzki was a member of the executive committee of the Northeast German Football Association for many years and was very committed to youth football. He was also a member of the DFB youth committee.
From 1949 to 1976 he played for TSV Grünau-Bohnsdorf (later at SG Grünau together with Konrad Dorner ), Hertha Zehlendorf and SFC Stern 1900 through which an Eberhard-Bernatzki-F junior tournament since 2006 , after his death as Eberhard-Bernatzki Memory F junior tournament will be continued.
In total, Bernatzki was a member of SFC Stern 1900 for over 50 years. As early as 1967 he had the still existing four-city tournament for juniors (in 2018, in addition to this year's host Berlin, there was another founding participant in Vienna , Ljubljana and Zagreb ) in what was then VBB , now BFV , initiated.
He received numerous awards for his work throughout his life.
Eberhard Bernatzki Prize for outstanding youth work
To honor Bernatzki's lifetime, the BFV awarded the Eberhard Bernatzki Prize for outstanding youth work in Berlin . In 2010 it emerged from the BFV's Sepp Herberger Prize .
