Eberhard Friedrich von Georgii

Eberhard Friedrich von Georgii (born January 18, 1757 in Stuttgart ; † April 13, 1830 there ) was a German lawyer and statesman from Württemberg.

Life

Eberhard Friedrich was a son of Christian Eberhard von Georgii and his wife Heinrike Dorothea (1726–1773), daughter of the physician Burkhard David Mauchart . He studied law in Tübingen and Göttingen . In 1780 he became professor of law at the Charles School for a short time . Then he was appointed to the government and consistorial council. As estates of the land deputy he participated in the Congress of Rastatt part. When King Friedrich suspended the old Württemberg constitution in 1805 , Georgii refused the oath of service and withdrew into private life. After a while, however, he returned to the judicial service and a few years later became President of the Württemberg Upper Tribunal .

He had been married to Louise Friederike (1762–1811), daughter of the physician Johann Gottlieb Mörike (1732–1785) and aunt of Eduard Mörike , since 1782 . In 1812 he married Charlotte (1784–1871), daughter of the Oberamtmann Ludwig Heinrich von Abel (1752–1818) and his wife Johanna Amalia Mörike (1764–1794).
