Eberhard Jakob Kipp
Eberhard Jakob Kipp (born August 16, 1706 in Hörde ; † August 4, 1772 in Lübeck ) was a merchant and councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.
Life
Eberhard Jakob Kipp was the son of Mayor Kipp in Hörde. He came to Lübeck in 1723 to learn the trade from the businessman Johann Rittershausen, and for this he traveled frequently to Sweden. In 1735 he founded his own trading company as a partner with the later councilor Johann Friedrich Bagge . Both business partners married daughters of the businessman Johann Stöver . While Kipp was elected to the council as the senior man of the Stockholm drivers in 1764 , Bagge joined the city council in 1772 as the senior man of the Skåne drivers .
The rector of the Katharineum, Johann Daniel Overbeck , wrote his funeral pamphlet.
