Teen Beach 2 is an American television - musical film by Jeffrey Hornaday from the year 2015 with Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell in the lead roles. The Disney Channel Original Movie is the sequel to Teen Beach Movie from 2013.

The summer vacation is over for McKenzie and Brady and they have to go back to school. School stress and relationship problems make everyday life difficult for them there, as there is more and more friction between the ambitious McKenzie and the easy-going joker Brady. But then they surprisingly get visits from Lela and Tanner from "Wet Side Story", who appear in the real world. This turns their everyday lives upside down and they have to ask themselves how they can get Lela and Tanner back into the film.

In April 2014, the Disney Channel announced a sequel to Teen Beach Movie for the summer of 2015. The film was made in Puerto Rico in July 2014 . Thus, this is the fourth Disney Channel Original Movie after the Princesses Protection program , The Wizards of Waverly Place - The Movie and Teen Beach Movie , which was produced in Puerto Rico.

The first broadcast on the US Disney Channel on June 26, 2015 was followed by 5.8 million viewers, which ensured that the film became the most successful Disney Channel Original Movie in 2015. In total, the film was seen 7.5 million times in the first four days after it was first broadcast. The DVD release in the USA took place on June 26, 2015.
In Germany, the film was shown on Disney Cinemagic on July 26, 2015 . The free TV premiere took place on July 18, 2016 on ProSieben . The DVD release followed on September 22, 2016.
