The Disney Channel Original Movie premiered on July 19, 2013 on the US Disney Channel . The German-language first broadcast took place on July 20, 2013 on the German branch of the station.

action

Brady and McKenzie, teenagers, love to surf . Just before McKenzie has to leave to start her career, McKenzie goes surfing in bad weather and Brady tries to save her. The lovers are magically transported into the beach party film Wet Side Story in the 1960s ambience. In the film, the bikers and surfers dance and sing for supremacy over the beach. Brady is thrilled because Wet Side Story is his favorite movie. But the teenagers quickly realize that the film is changing their personalities and they want to get back to the present as soon as possible. But the return to reality can only work if the plot of the film is not changed. Easier said than done as surfer Tanner falls in love with McKenzie and rocker girl Lela keeps an eye out for Brady.

Ultimately, however, they manage to (re) couple the couple, who actually belong together, which ends the rivalry between the two groups. And after jointly defeating a classic villain in a lighthouse who wants to tear down the beach bar (the meeting place for surfers and bikers) and replace it with hotel buildings, Brady and McKenzie come back to real life.
