action

The Russo family is on a vacation trip to the Caribbean. The rebellious Alex does not want to come on this trip, but after she has performed illicit magic again, she is forced to go on vacation. Although it should be a nice family vacation, Alex sees it as a punishment for wanting to stay at home with her friend Harper. She is also annoyed that her parents Jerry and Theresa tell her everything, even though she is already 16 years old. After Theresa has given her daughter house arrest and a ban on magic after another argument, Alex is angry and wishes that her parents had never met. Due to the fact that Alex holds the powerful family magic wand in his hand during her emotional outburst, her wish becomes a reality.

Your parents forget everything about their actual family. Jerry still has his magic powers since he never married. Theresa thinks Alex is a young employee of the hotel complex, and Justin, Alex and Max are beginning to forget their past. Standing under extreme time pressure, they are now trying to undo the wish and save the family. Jerry advises Justin to find the Dream Stone . This artifact has the power to grant any wish and undo any spell, but each person can only use it once.

As Alex, Justin, and Archie set out to find the Dream Stone, Max tries to bring his parents back together. Archie is a former wizard who owns the only working card for the Dream Stone and with the help of which he wants to turn his bird back into a human. Eventually, reality catches up with Max and he is the first to disappear because he would never be born. In the meantime Justin and Alex managed to get the Stone of Dreams. However, this is stolen from them by Archie's bird. Jerry sees the last chance to save the family that Alex or Justin cast a spell, which only works if you are a full wizard. However, only one of the siblings can have full magical power. Since they have no other choice, Justin and Alex compete against each other early in the wizarding competition so that one of them can become a full-fledged wizard and speak the saving spell.

Ultimately, Alex wins and reaches her full magical power. Shortly afterwards, Justin also disappears. In desperation, Alex doesn't know what to do and she fails to perform the spell. But in the meantime Theresa gets the stone from Archie. Although she still firmly believes that she has no children and that she is not married, she gives the stone to Alex because she feels that she desperately wants to help her. Alex wishes everything should be the way it was.

This wish will come true and everything will be as it was before. Only Justin, Alex and Max remember what happened. Jerry and Theresa have no idea what happened, but are delighted that their children have suddenly stopped arguing and are totally excited about the family vacation.

The plot of the film does not affect the plot of the series. Occasionally, however, it is suggested that it has at least taken place from the point of view of the series world.
