Reunion (film)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term reunion (from English for reunification ) describes the continuation of a completed television series with the original actors in the field of film and television .

There are reunions in the form of TV specials in which the actors come together again to talk about the time of production and common anecdotes. The counterparts are continuations of the original framework story. Additional special episodes or a feature film bring the viewer closer to the life of the characters since the series finale and / or show current events in the life of the roles. The resulting reunions also differ in terms of duration and the amount of budget spent .

Reasons for Reunions

TV series are often canceled, although they still inspire many fans . While it is not economically viable for the television stations to produce more seasons , reunions can again achieve high ratings a few years after the end . In addition, it is usually a pleasure for the former regular audience to meet the well-known TV characters again.
