Grace Phipps (born May 4, 1992 in Austin , Texas ) is an American actress and singer .

life and career

Phipps was born in Austin , Texas in 1992 and grew up in Boerne and San Antonio . In San Antonio, she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and then graduated in Musical Theater from The North East School of the Arts. After graduating in 2010, she moved to Los Angeles to start her acting career.

She immediately got a role in the horror comedy Fright Night . She was then cast for the role of Amy Martins on the ABC Family television series The Nine Lives of Chloe King . However, the series was canceled in 2011 after only one season. Her breakthrough came with the supporting role of April Young in The CW television series Vampire Diaries , in which she has been seen since the fourth season. She also starred in 2013 alongside Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell in the Disney Channel Original Movies Teen Beach Movie . In 2013 she had a supporting role in the sitcom Baby Daddy . Teen Beach 2 followed in 2015 .
