Eberhard Kühl

Eberhard Kühl (born November 26, 1936 in Rostock ) is a former German politician ( SED ). He was chairman of the Rostock district council .

Life

Kühl, the son of a driver, learned the trade of a car mechanic and then worked in the profession. In 1951 he joined the FDJ . From 1956 to 1960 he worked as a tax auditor, brigade leader and subject manager in the finance department at the City Council of Rostock. Between 1957 and 1959 he attended the technical college for finance in Gotha , which he graduated as a state-certified financial economist. From 1960 to 1972 he was head of examinations or deputy head of the finance and prices department at the Rostock District Council. Between 1961 and 1966, Kühl completed a distance learning course at the University of Rostock with a degree in economics.

In 1963, Kühl joined the SED. From 1972 to 1975 he was a political employee in the economics department of the SED district leadership in Rostock, from 1975 to 1978 personal assistant to Ernst Timm, the first secretary of the SED district leadership in Rostock . In 1978/79, Kühl studied at the Academy for Social Sciences at the Central Committee of the CPSU in Moscow . From 1979 to 1983 he was a member of the Rostock District Council for Finances and Prices, from 1979 to March 1990 a member of the Rostock District Assembly . From 1983 he acted as the first deputy of the chairman, from 1986 to December 1989 then as chairman of the Rostock district council.

In February 1990, Kühl resigned from the PDS . Between 1990 and 1999 he worked in a company for auditors, tax consultants and lawyers in Rostock, and has been a pensioner since then.
