Götz Kreuzer (born January 24, 1940 in Friedersdorf , Zittau district ) is a German politician ( PDS , today Die Linke ).

Life

Kreuzer attended elementary school and advanced secondary school in Zittau and the University of Rostock . He served voluntarily in the NVA from 1958 to 1959 , worked from 1963 to 1981 as an employee and from 1981 to 1985 was the operations director of the VEB Jugendmode in Rostock. In 1968, Kreuzer became a member of the SED , which later became part of the PDS. In 1985 he became first deputy, in 1986 chairman of the economic council of the Rostock district . He was a member of the Rostock District Assembly from 1986 to 1990 and was Chairman of the Rostock District Council from December 1989 to May 1990. Then he was department head at the Rostock Treuhandanstalt until the end of 1990. From 1990 to 2002 he was a member of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state parliament . There he was deputy chairman of the interior committee and deputy secretary, chairman of the committee for construction and regional development and chairman of the legal committee. In 1994 he became a member of the citizenship of the Hanseatic City of Rostock . He was temporarily chairman of the supervisory board of Hafenentwicklungsgesellschaft Rostock mbH.
