Eberhard Pohlmann

Eberhard Pohlmann (born March 31, 1931 in Bielefeld ) is a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Bielefeld, Pohlmann began studying law and political science at the universities of Frankfurt am Main , Heidelberg and Münster , which he completed in 1955 with the first state examination and in 1959 with the second state examination. From 1960 to 1963 he worked as a legal advisor at the JD Broelemann publishing house in Bielefeld, from 1963 to 1967 managing director of the Association of Entrepreneurs for Industry, Trade and Commerce in the Central Weser Uplands (AdU) and from 1968 to 1992 he was the general manager of the association.

Political party

Pohlmann has been a member of the CDU since 1966. He became treasurer in 1968, was first deputy chairman from 1969 and then chairman of the CDU association Hameln- Stadt from 1979 to 1985 . From 1971 to 1975 he was state chairman of the European Union in Lower Saxony .

MP

Pohlmann was a member of the German Bundestag from November 4, 1969, when he replaced the retired MP Bruno Brandes until 1987. He was always drawn into parliament via the Lower Saxony state list.
