Eckart Kottkamp

Eckart Kottkamp (* 1939 ) is a German manager and engineer in control and rocket technology.

Career

Kottkamp studied control and communications engineering at RWTH Aachen University until 1966 . He received his doctorate in 1976 as a Dr.-Ing. From 1967 to 1979 he worked at VFW-Fokker as a test engineer, then at ERNO in the project management of the Spacelab . He then became managing director of Robert Bosch GmbH . In 1983 he went to Jungheinrich as managing director for technology and from 1988 as chairman of the board. From 1996 he was the chairman of Claas KGaA. From 2001 to the end of 2005 he was the sole managing director of Hako Holding GmbH & Co. KG. This was followed by board memberships at Lloyd Fonds(since 2006), Deutsche Steinzeug Cremer & Breuer AG (2006 to 2009), Basler AG (since 2009), Kromi Logistik AG and Elbphilharmonie Hamburg Bau GmbH & Co KG . Kottkamp is chairman of the university council of the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences . In 1996 he received his honorary professorship from her.

He is one of the friends and sponsors of the Helmut Schmidt University and is involved in the VDMA's engineering training initiative.
