Eckart R. Straube (* 1939 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German psychologist , psychotherapist and author .

Act

After research activities in Düsseldorf , Lausanne , Oxford , York and Washington DC ( Bethesda ), Straube was Professor of Psychology at the Universities of Tübingen and Jena and from 1993 to 1995 also Director of the Institute for Psychology at the University of Jena. His scientific and clinical work focuses on psychoses, depression, and anxiety and dissociation disorders. In addition, he deals with the psychological aspects of alternative spiritual healing forms. He is currently head of the Center for Culture and Psychology in Munich and Starnberg and also teaches at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .
