Gerhard W. Lauth

Gerhard W. Lauth (born August 31, 1947 in Hillesheim , Mainz-Bingen district, Rhineland-Palatinate) is a German university professor , psychologist and psychological psychotherapist .

Life

Lauth studied psychology at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz from 1968 to 1974 , where he received his doctorate in 1979. After a job at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg , he received a C4 professorship for rehabilitation psychology at the University of Dortmund in 1990 .

In 1997 he was appointed professor for psychology and psychotherapy in curative education at the University of Cologne , where he set up a research clinic for children and adolescents. In addition, it is committed to a close-knit transfer between research and practice with its scientific continuing education programs.

His research interests are mainly concerned with the development, diagnosis and treatment of learning and behavior disorders. Thereby forming attention disorders a major focal point in its various manifestations in children, adolescents and adults. For this purpose, he published scientific articles, monographs , specialist books and handouts.
