Eckhard Löser

Eckhard Löser (born November 2, 1938 in Munich ; † March 11, 2011 in Gevelsberg ) was a German biochemist .

Eckhard Löser studied mathematics and natural sciences at the University of Cologne. In 1964 he received his doctorate in biology and chemistry. Löser worked at Bayer AG until his retirement in 2000, most recently as director of the Institute for Industrial Toxicology in Leverkusen for many years. He was also a permanent guest on the Senate Commission for the Assessment of the Harmlessness of Food.

In 2003 he was awarded the US International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers, Inc. (IISRP) award.
