Eckhard Lisec

Eckhard Lisec (* 1944 ) is a German Brigadier General a. D. and author.

Lisec joined the Bundeswehr in 1963 . In the meantime he studied communications engineering at the Technical University of Hanover from 1966 to 1971 ( graduate engineer ). In 1971 he returned to the Bundeswehr. In the 1970s he completed the general staff course (H) at the command academy of the Bundeswehr in Hamburg.

Until 1990 he was a consultant in the command staff of the army in Bonn. There he was responsible for the conception of the army and partial conception of the army leadership. After that he was u. a. worked in the Communication and Information System Division of the NATO International Military Staff in Brussels. Until 2000 he was head of department in the command staff of the armed forces in Bonn. From 2000 to 2002 he was commander of the Command Support Brigade 900 and location elder in Rheinbach. Then he moved to the Army Command in Koblenz. Most recently he was Assistant Chief of Staff Support of the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps - Turkey in Istanbul from 2002 to 2005 . The brigadier general then retired.

He learned Turkish and was a guest student at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . He is also a member of the Clausewitz Society .

Lisec is married, has two children and lives in Bonn .
