Eda is a small place ( småort ) in the Swedish municipality Eda , province of Värmland County . As the seat of a församling, the place also has an ecclesiastical and administrative significance.
Eda kyrka
Eda kyrka was built between 1835 and 1839 as a replacement for an old medieval church that is about 300 meters south. It was inaugurated by Bishop Aghard in 1841. The altar was built by Nils Falk around 1600 in Västergötland . The 35-part organ was built in 1930. In 1979 the church was damaged by fire and later restored.
