The lawyer Felix Edel represents an innkeeper because of a claim for damages. He recklessly rejects the other side's offer of settlement and misses the deadline for filing a lawsuit, so that the claims are statute-barred and the client now holds Felix liable. Felix is insured too low ; 80,000 euros are missing that he does not have. Ambitious young lawyer Sandra Starck has successfully completed her first case. But her boss, attorney Schiller, makes it clear that he mainly expects sexual services from Sandra and gropes her unrestrainedly. Sandra exposes him in front of her colleagues and resigns without notice. She ends the relationship with her colleague Martin, who also works for the law firm Schiller & Partner, who has taken his boss under protection and does not support Sandra, and moves in with her friend Patricia. She becomes aware of the case of ex-boxer Bruno, who is already Felix's client. Sandra manages that Bruno can be represented by both of them together; the two get an acquittal. Sandra, who has meanwhile defied a severance payment from Schiller, offers Felix to join his office as a partner for a payment of 80,000 euros. Felix and Sandra are now partners in the joint law firm. Felix borrows Sandra's Mazda MX-5 and carelessly drives a small dent in the fender. Since he wants to hide this mishap from her, he gives the car to a dubious workshop that his chaotic friend Otto Özdemir arranged for him and where the damage is to be repaired overnight. However, the owner mixes up the order and cannibalizes the car and sells the parts to different people. When the mistake is noticed, the individual parts have to be procured as quickly as possible and the car reassembled without Sandra noticing anything. Felix represents a young woman who is being molested by a caretaker and who - supposedly in self-defense - has knocked him down. Sandra has the case of a monk on the table who was in a car accident. The process seems to be easy to win - if the client were willing to "fool" a little bit in the negotiation. | |||||

Felix represents Carl Wagner, the owner of the luxury restaurant "Diderot", who accuses his competitor of having copied the " Soufflé of the Gods" from him. The only evidence is a witness: Claude Richard, an elderly gentleman from France who, however, cannot even remember Wagner because of dementia. Felix also has to do with the apartment tenant Krauser, who complains about the noise in a neighboring apartment used as a brothel. Sandra's client Mahlsdorf, an old man suffering from terminal cancer, would like to be plastinated after his death , and Sandra is supposed to enforce this request against his daughter's wishes. | |||||

Felix is visited by his ex-girlfriend Britta, who suddenly and unexpectedly left him years ago. Despite warnings from his friend Christoph, Felix Brittas succumbs to new advances, sleeps with her and believes in a future together, while he represents Britta as a lawyer in her divorce. Sandra represents a farmer who has been turned on by a bull that is less fertile. Felix helps her win the case, but has not considered that the bull is now only good for slaughter. A baby is placed in a basket in front of the office door. It is the son of a former client of Sandra's who is currently on the run. The child's birth mother is broke and is in jail, and her rental debts are threatened with illegal eviction. Felix represents a television presenter who wants to prevent a former lover from publishing nudes of her. Felix starts an affair with the attractive client. Felix is supposed to represent the opera singer Friedrich Liesgau, whose son wants him to be incapacitated. The pop singer Luca asks Felix for help: He should prevent a former friend from publishing unpublished, jointly produced jazz recordings and revealing the true age of the teen star whose record company sells him ten years younger. Felix meets a blonde young woman in his local pub. The next day he represents a client who has a lover and wants to get a divorce against his wife's will. It turns out that the wife is the pretty blonde Felix had previously met, and the client's new girlfriend is a significantly older and less attractive woman. Felix no longer understands the world and hands over the mandate to Sandra. | |||||

Christoph needs Felix's help: He is accused of having sexually molested a patient named Gabi Eicher during the examination. He claims to be innocent. However, Christoph later admits that he had an affair with Gabi. Both try to keep the affair a secret from Christoph's wife Anke, but a sperm stain is shown on a piece of clothing during the trial. Anke, who noticed everything in the auditorium, reacts angrily and puts Christoph in front of the door; he finds accommodation with Felix and gets on his nerves. Otto wants to take advantage of this, against whom Patricia is investigating for spreading counterfeit money: Felix should go to bed with her and get her to discontinue the proceedings. Felix's childhood friend Edgar Müller, a passionate extreme mountaineer, is sued by his two fellow climbers because he reports in his new book that they left him on an eight-thousander in a crevice and that he had to save himself on his own. In the process it turns out that the story unfolded differently. Meanwhile, Edgar has his eye on Sandra, who eventually goes out with him, succumbs to his charm and spends the night with him - which Felix doesn't like. Otto wants to open his own bar in an old house. A Berlin senator wants to prevent the publication of a photo that shows him in a rather decadent pose. Mr. Borel, the photographer who also takes nudes, would like to photograph Sandra without a cover. Felix's client Ms. Bärlauch was knocked over by an experienced skier while skiing as a beginner and now wants compensation for pain and suffering. Your opponent represents himself; It is about the already retired lawyer Roland Daarling, whom Felix always admired at a young age because he always upset his opponents in the courtroom. But that is exactly what happened to Felix in court: Daarling made him nervous in a tricky manner and threw him off his mind, so that Felix couldn't utter a word. Frustrated and dissolving in self-pity, he admits his total failure and is determined to quit the legal profession. So it is a good thing that Otto bought an old sailing boat called Knurrhahn , with which he wants to "get out" and travel around the world. But for now, the Knurrhahn is anchored with a leak on an idyllic jetty in the Wannsee . The boat will soon become a meeting point for other people who want to get off the boat, who indulge in idleness in the glorious summer weather and live throughout the day. Felix and Otto are joined by Frank, then Judge Moosleitner and finally even Biene. Sandra is desperate and angry and can just persuade Felix to at least bring the bear garlic case to an end with her. Back in the courtroom, Felix catches up again, is in top form and leaves the meeting room as the winner. There is no longer any talk of leaving. |
