Edgar Noske

Edgar Noske (born January 31, 1957 in Leverkusen ; † May 29, 2013 ) was a German author of historical and crime novels .

life and work

Edgar Noske passed his Abitur in 1977 in Wermelskirchen and initially trained as an industrial clerk in Cologne until 1979 . From 1979 to 1980 he studied Italian, history and philosophy at the University of Cologne . The studies were completed by the civil service , which he performed in 1980/81 in Heidelberg . After that, Noske did not resume studies, but was initially a temporary cook, later an auxiliary nurse and finally a taxi driver in Heilbronn . Between 1982 and 1985 he lived as a tractor seller in Algeria and Tunisia and in 1986/87 was the owner of a men's outfitter in Cologne. From 1988 to 1991 he was again a representative and now sold floodlight and overhead line masts. After 1991 he was a freelance author and lived in the Rhineland and the Eifel .

Noske published the first detective novel Nacht über Nippes in 1994 at Emons Verlag . This was followed by other thrillers and later historical novels, which are set primarily in the Rhineland, the Eifel and the Bergisches Land . Noske was one of the better-known authors of the Cologne crime thrillers , three of his historical novels from the Middle Ages have also been published by Goldmann Verlag , one of his books is available as an audio book. He was one of the signatories of the Heidelberg appeal .
