criticism
“In most respects this film turned out pretty good and with a little more money this film could really have been pretty big. The structure of the case is a bit too leisurely, but it is well thought out and never too boring. The mysterious mood is palpable and is maintained throughout. Edwin Maxwell is the only actor with a well-known name and can completely convince, whereas the other actors have not always given the best performances. The level of acting therefore varies from just acceptable to pretty good. "
“The mysterious ship is one of the rather poorer B-movies of the film studio Monogram Pictures, because despite its almost 62 minutes it was staged in a very lengthy and boring way by director William Nigh. A coherent or exciting atmosphere can unfortunately not be found in the film either. "
